Woke up to have our breakfast again. This time round, were much well plan, decided to go to grand palace follow by wat pho, which is just walking distance away.In grand palace, we took countless of pics, i think it was the most pics taken for the whole trip. The palace is just too magnificient, is just another attraction that shouldn't be missed if you were to visit bangkok! It cost 250 Bahts which is equivalent to Singapore $10?, about there. The scuplture and everything, you find it amazing how people build it. It is mostly make of gold! Your head have to raise much higher so that you are able to see the whole view. You need to walk closer to the sculpture in order to see their well-built structure. We walked in to 'temple' in the grand palace. In Thailand, they respected buddha alot, so you must make sure you wore a long pants and take off your shoes before you walked in and pray. After that we crossed the road to buy drinks and proceed on to wat pho. Unfortunately, along the route there were people approached us and offered to help. Inititally we thought it was a nice gesture, when he told us that we can't go to Wat pho now, as the thais were praying at that moment and offered us alternative plan to spend the 2 hours.A cheap ride around by tuk tuk, to other different Wats and places, 10 bahts per person.Bullshit, when we travel to a nearby place(MBK) from our hotel, they charged us even 40 baths or more. Now, only 10 bahts!Just when we were engrossed and wanted to agree with it, it holds me back. It sounds familiar somehow. I read in forum before that they will bring you to the jewellery shops and buy stuff. When eva look up at me, i gave her an expression, and she knew what i'm thinking. We rejected and walk on. But the tuk tuk man even got down to ask us again, too much!I still inisisted to walk there and see before my eyes that the place was closed. When we were just steps away, there's another person approached us again. Repeating the same sentences, we knew something was amissed, he gave some signal and the tuk tuk men who were already waiting nearby, came forward. I told them to walk on, we paused again to discuss, and i can see that they were still following us. I am too scare till i quickly hailed a cab and we left the place. The next destination will be Zoo. Along the way,I did not speak a word. Somehow your mind have to be clear and someone have to look fierce so that people won't have a thought of bullying or tried to cheat you. For the whole trip, i'm just being cautious, you can try to ask Eva how tense i was.I think i feel much more relaxed when we reached hotel. Zoo, paid 100 bahts for the entrance fees. I took a light breakfast, so i was very hungry when i reached there. But still insisted not to eat. Took a short walk and felt that we should take a tram, another 20 bahts for it. We were there about 1 hour plus when it started raining heavily.Saw leopards, white tigers, tigers, white hand monkey, elephants(Brown colour), giraffe! When it started raining, we were at the 3-4 storey high shelther to have a glimse of the giraffee, within minutes it started pouring. Luckily, we were near to a small shelter with a few caucasian beside us. We observed how giraffe ran for shelters, back and forth. I knew we couldn't stay under it for long, as we were getting wet. We walked down the stairs carefully and walked to the entrance there where we bought our tickets. Sensing the rain won't stop soon, i told Eva that we should leave. Told the person to hail a cab for us,he's so kind that he walked out with a big umbrella( Mac kind). He tried to shelter us to the cab, though the umbrella is BIG, but still wet, so you can imagine how big is the rain. Our jeans and shoes were all wet. We were drenched! Back to hotel to have a hot bath. Went out with EVA to Jap restaurant just outside our hotel without Liping. Then back to MBK mall at night.
